The group that translates the manga sucks. I'm assuming you read a scanlated version because the original raw, Medusa does not say "my daughter" but "my child".
I wish Ookubo would just confirm Chrona's gender, so the fanbase can stop looking like a bunch of dumbasses with this whole debate. I'm sick of seeing fans get huffy arguing for both sides. It always gets too heated, looses the point, and just gets derogatory.
