OK, FF7 has officially jumped the shark.

I don't know what people will think is more awesome. The phone or Cloud advertising.

I blaim the corporate vampires.
The ones that ruin all good things by using them simply to make money.

Personaly I like the Cloud better than the phone.
From a technical view he's a greater achivement then the phone.

Not that the phone is a bad thing.

Did you play the entire game?
Or did you focus on gameplay rather than the story?
People are attracted to it because of the story.

Those phones in the movie, I believe, were unmarked.
If it were an ad they'd have at least put Sony on them.

How in the world do you program aged silver in a 3d engine?

1.well, as far as i can see, panasonic has never made a phone that looks like this..
2. the game rocks, ok, maybe the graphics are poor, but remember that the game is old. but nothing beats the story

The game was the best one in the series.
And if you really want to play the same game with better graphics, why dont you buy the remake for playstation 3?

My girlfriend and I were living in Japan last year (grad school at Waseda for her), and I can say most surely that the phones in AC were product placement. Why? They were mentioned in a newspaper article about the film just before it's release, and there were billboards in several Tokyo stations using Cloud and his phone. It was a Panasonic FOMA model. Also Sakura depato in Shibuya had celophans little posters next to the stand where they were selling the phone...

Anyway if you want your own, just like Cloud (and Panasonic hopes you do) they are much cheaper now, but Japan only of course...

The game's story was actually pretty poor. The biggest weakness was the characters; they were all very one-dimensional, and very little character growth took place. As far as the best game in the series goes, it definitely has to be FFVI. Nothing beats Terra, Celes, Locke, Edgar, and Kefka.
