Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII (1997).  I always preferred Tifa over Aeris but appreciate that love triangle for what it is (and…well, only one of them is left standing so…).  Not many plot points have a girl taking care of her catatonic boyfriend (think she cleaned the bed pan too!?).
