pretty much that. The Dummys all share the same neurol link with the main body and also act as Decoys in case of battle emergencys. As stated by M4, it's normally only in rare cases where the main body gets destroyed in combat, since the dummys are supposed to be in the front line taking all the shots. But in those rare cases, if the main body "Dies" first, since they all share the same Neurol network, she just "Transfers" herself to a dummy. But since Dummys are weaker than the main body, that would be a good time to retreat and upload herself into a remade main body.

More or less. In game though, your t-doll is incapacitated if all her dummy dolls are defeated and her physical hit points are zero. She is not destroyed, but she comes up in the menu as critically damaged/cannot participate in battle. To put it some other way, think of it like the Fainted status in RPGs.

However in some nodes like bosses and whatnot, the girls will not retreat unless you instruct them to do so. It's only on the nodes that are non-boss nodes where the "heavy damage protection" kicks in. Sometimes if you are grinding low-level girls to quickly gain levels, they'll sometimes get heavily damaged and get incapacitated before they can even retreat. If they have 80 HP and they take 120 HP damage, there's no protection that would lock it at 1 HP (like KanColle)... they just get eliminated and are unable to fight next battle. But if they take 75 HP damage, they'll retreat and be invulnerable while retreating.

tl;dr: T-Dolls don't die outside of story plot, even if your T-Doll is at 0 HP she can be fully repaired without any penalties (apart from the usual parts/ration/ammo/manpower payments).

Actually,their+everyone in their team's affection will also decreased,which remove some buff that comes with high affection,but that can easily be grind/fed cakes back up.

Not really, no. Dummies are made without the hardware to upload the dolls' mind into because they are supposed to be disposable. IOP's business strategy is to sell you an expensive main doll and then keep supplying the cheaper but disposable dummy bodies. However, in the event that the main doll is killed, their last backup personality is uploaded into a new main body and sent back. This is, of course, a more expensive and time-consuming process, hence the massively inflated repair time once the doll keeps taking damage after reaching 'heavy damage' threshold.

Most of our dolls do not die permanently because they typically upload their memory and personality data into backup servers before they deploy. Team AR and Team 404, however, do actually die permanently in-story. For Team AR, it's because of their neural cloud being incompatible with the backup servers. For 404, it's because they are rogue dolls and have no access to said servers.

I retort with that's only for normal T-dolls. Girls like the AR squad and the 404 squad operate on a different matter. when it comes to Dummys. M4 herself talks about Dummies from her perspective for a bit.As well as 416.
