    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2868

    Ultimately, I bought 20mm x 30mm x 1820mm lumber. Roughly .8" x 1.2" x 72" The screen shows the post-correction sizes, though. (^^;)

Back in the day, Google SketchUp was free to use, but since it's now out of Google's hands, you can only get it by paying. I'm using a for-pay version from the Google era, but because it's expensive, I can't update it. (^^;)

What a failure of logistics - always ensure that the supply exists before designing around that part.

Isn't there a free version of SketchUp that is accessible over a browser?

I didn't realize Google had sold it. I'm still using an old, free version.

Pretty much my every comment I have with my brother whenever we talk about fixing up the house. If a particular something could possibly done is irrelevant if we can't get the supplies.

I'm glad I snagged the old, free version of SketchUp back when it was still free.

Still, getting it oversized and then cutting it down would probably be better than having the exact size. You've gotta give yourself some margin of error to work with.

For people (like me) who are prodigiously talented at sawing in all directions except a straight line, this option is completely unworkable. :(

First, I'll design the cubicle in SketchUp!
I don't even have to draw it on paper, so this'll be a snap!
Once that's done, I'll sort the parts and determine the necessary amount of lumber!
I can even show the cutting measurements, so this'll be a snap!
Right! Now to get the raw materials from the hardware store!

They didn't sell the size of lumber I'd planned to use...
