...I have seen this scene before. One of my friend's younger sister got jealous over a girlfriend he brought over and said something similar, leading to an outburst by her brother. She did apologize later so no bad vibes remained.

Sadly, the relationship ended up in a marriage and they are both living surprisingly happily together.
