I would agree. Since steping sound would be "タッ" "スタッ" "トンッ" or others. Fumi from 踏む (step) doesn't make for sound effects since it means "trample" too. Which means, Fumi from Fumizuki is the most logical explanation.

To further clarify:
*Fumifumi* could refer to a stepping sound effect, but it is the sound of deliberate stepping/stomping on an object (or creature), not simply walking/running around like the "タッ" "スタッ" "トンッ" sounds mentioned by Demundo.
The usual act associated with the *fumifumi* SFX is that of a cat kneading its paws on a pillow or some similar soft object. Doing a search for フミフミ on Youtube will turn up a lot of cat videos showing this exact action.
The SFX can also be used for, say, a child childishly stomping while throwing a fit, but this is less common.
(Note: Due to how *fumifumi* sounds, it's usually associated with cutesy acts, like the above examples.)
In this comic, however, Fumizuki isn't stepping on anything (except maybe the floor if she's walking, but normal walking around doesn't use the *fumifumi* sfx as mentioned), and the SFX isn't shown at feet level either (in fact her legs aren't even visible). The logical interpretation of the *fumifumi* sfx is therefore, as Demundo explained, a play on Fumizuki's name, hence Unconventional SFX.
A similar case can also be found for Zuikaku and the *ZUI* SFX, which is associated with thrusting or shoving (including shoving your face up close in front of someone else's, or metaphorically 'shoving' an intense stare across). As such, when the *ZUI* sfx shows up with Zuikaku (or the other Zui-name characters, to a lesser extent), some care is needed to ascertain whether it is used conventionally for a *shove*/*thrust*/*stare*/*in your face* SFX, or unconventionally as a play on Zuikaku's name, like in the Zui Zui Dance. Paying attention to what action is being performed and where the SFX is positioned can help.

Well, now I never imagined that. That was very informative. Thank you.

I would like to add "quickly closing in"/"swiftly waltz away" too.
