    Not sure why, but something about the girl, and her sitting in the vehicle, reminds me of Last Exile (which I haven't seen in years).

    It's the shape of the car, ain't it. Not to mention Alphonse's art looks like Range Murata's, except Alphonse's goes with bigger, more anime-like eyes compared to the face and Range's preferred smaller, more realistic-sized eyes. Their coloring skills however, are pretty similar and uses pretty much same shading/gradient technique.
