I've had naga jolokia/ghost pepper hot sauce before, and honestly, yeah, that's not even spicy, it's just painful. Like, it's not a matter of the sensation in your mouth, it's the fact that it feels like you got a Koishi in your stomach stabbing away at you the very instant it gets through your throat. Nevermind "the next day", it hit me immediately. (But then, that was a bottle that warned you to add one drop at a time, and even putting half a tub of sour cream onto the usual amount I'd pour with normal hot sauce didn't make the chili edible after that...)
