I personally couldn't stand this pairing, Hell I couldn't stand Kinon at all after the time skip since she went from a good character to an annoying bitch who was willing to let her familly and best friends die simply because she liked Rossiu more.

Yep, signed. Or think of that stupid "I'll accompany Simon in his Gurren Lagann, stuffed with enough TNT to blow up the whole earth, because I know Rossiu is so right". This takes "love is blind" a bit too far, imo. Maybe the whole "Simon sent to death by Rossiu so easily"-thing added some more antipathy to my judgement of those 2.

I hated how she just agreed to do that without caring about Simon at all, I mean he saved her and the others countless times and he makes ONE mistake and suddenly it's ok to let Rossiu be a power hungry commander and to let him kill the savior of the world because ROSSIU WAS RIGHT! even if it was his fault everything happened in the first place
Umm, I know it's been a while... but you people are all wrong and I can not let such injustice befall one of the greatest animes of all time.
Rossiu was never power happy, he was intelligent and he did what he had to do. Whether or not Rossiu was planning on killing Simon is debatable.
Also, Kinon was never "blindly in love". Placing her in Gurren made it so Simon didn't go Suicide Status on the rest of us so soon in the plot. Would Rossiu put her in danger knowing she would live in order to push Simon? Well, she volunteered so it doesn't really matter.
All in all, Rossiu did what he had to do to calm the people of Teppelin and Kinon helped.
