I didn't mean to re-upload; apparently I have two different files of the same picture, picked the wrong one, and uploaded it instead of finding the deleted one. This was before I figured out the Find Similar button existed.
What exactly is meant by "western style art" and why is it not allowed? And before making a snarky remark, I would point out that there is already much "western style art" on the site, approved and everything.
I can see that evazion has been a major contributor to Danbooru, but even that does not necessarily give him the authority to censor types of art... Seems to me only a moderator or administrator can do that.
And frankly, I liked this pic enough to save it...

The only problem is I already uploaded a bigger version of the picture, and it got deleted because it was unapproved after three days. I only accidentally uploaded it because I was trying to get the links to deleted pictures for appeal.

A day-old member could read you the regulations and it wouldn't make them any less true.

I don't think there's an explicit rule against western style art (other than it usually being off-topic), but it's not encouraged. Providing an exact definition isn't that easy; usually you just know it when you see it.
Search miravi deleted:true and you'll see most miravi posts have been deleted, presumably for being too western/off-topic.
