I agree that this looks cool, but when mecha designs get detailed, I start to worry about those details.
Think about it. You see those hoses in its left shoulder joint? Seem kinda fragile. Probably pretty important. Also, those gaps are pretty big, and there's a lot of sand here.
As far as mecha are concerned, I'll stick with my mostly-impervious bullshit gundamium blah blah mecha. :)
