Probably referring to the width between tracks, trains are generally pretty wide and their tracks are about as wide as a Western car. So either this train was very slim or old, or Eastern trains might have a design that allows thinner tracks, but I doubt either of these things. It's a nice convincing composition regardless of the accuracy.
