Don't be ashamed to consult whatever embarrasing problems you might have with your General Practicioner. Doctors are professionals and will act as such. Any and all private information regarding your condition is (with very few exceptions) considered a medical secret and is thus sacred.

( Unless you're like me and your GP also happens to be your dad, in which case, BIG OOF. )

I mean, there was a time when physicians were expected to treat their colleagues' children for free, to spare them from having to treat family members. It's kind of sad to see the old ethics getting swept aside by modernity like that.

doctors get desensetized to crazy stories pretty fast. whatever embarrasing thing you think you're saying, a doctor has probably heard thousands of times before.
