Why is that the artist you singled out in response to this? Most of their art here is fine, though last I heard the artist themself had basically gone off the deep end.

Because of this: "repository of high-quality anime-style art and doujinshi™." Anything western style, even if it's drawn by one of these people vaulted superior asian artists is considered nothing but trash.
