連載で毎月原稿料も入ってくるし、ほかにも単行本が出てたのでできた暴挙だと思います(笑)

RAIDは「複数のHDDをつなげて容量のでかい1台のHDDとして使うので、HDDの故障に対しては弱いモード」
「HDDは2台必要だけど通常使用は1台だけで、もう1台はバックアップとして使い、HDD故障に対しても少し強いモード」
「HDD3台必要で、2つ目のモードと似てるけど、もうちょっと故障に強いモード」とかいろいろあります。

仕事のデータがHDD故障で飛ぶのは怖かったので欲しかったのです。
WINDOWS NT4.0で使ってました。

Even thinking about it now, I'm glad I bought it. I had monthly original art payments for my serial, plus TPBs coming out, so I figure this was a reckless move that came out of that. :-)

There are several types of RAID:
"When you connect multiple HDDs and use them as a single, high-volume HDD, that's Weak Mode with regard to HDD crashes." [RAID 0]
"When you use one HDD normally and another as backup, which requires 2 HDDs in all, that's Slightly Strong Mode with regard to HDD crashes." [RAID 1]
"For a slightly Stronger Mode against crashes, you need 3 HDDs, similar to the second mode." [RAID 5]

I wanted to get this because I was scared of my work data blowing away from an HDD crash. I was using it with Windows NT4.0.
