hate characters much? well either way it's true she's not all that confident, but what can you expect from a submissive, pacifistic like character. she was never meant to be gun-ho about everything. if that's what you expect her to be like then your deluded.

I don't mind her being innocent, I'm all for innocent broads...but don't go all 'I wanna help protect the people that I love.' And then do NOTHING at all except say 'Kurosaki-kun' like seven times.
Hell, kick, punch, bite...do something for chrissakes. Instead of learning more healing/defense crap, some self defense/offense moves would have been LOVELY for her character development. So until the bitch does something actively USEFUL, she's a useless healer, aka-typical Shounen girlfriend character.

...if Orihime wasn't the team healer, "Team Kurosaki" Would have been screwed seven ways to hell by now. She's somewhat neccessar: her being around ALLOWS the characters to take what would be fatal injuries, without actually killing the character.
Also, please do keep in mind that if Orihime actually became violent then the other characters would become more or less obsolete...since if she got angry enough I don't think there's anything she couldn't cut down. So long as I'm not misinterpreting the strength of her power or how it works.
