So her percentage is back up a point. Back to the steady climb, I guess.
And seriously, while I don't have the current context yet since it isn't translated as I write this, I can't help but mentally shout "Just ask her out you schmuck!"
I guess it is to be expected that her afection jumped so much at first but it's such a painful crawl now. Osanai is a really quirky person and from what we've seen she doesn't got a lotta friends. There's where, while a pushover, Otaku comes in the scene. Despite the fact that she's taking him around for her own entertainment, he still enjoys his time with her and she's aware of it. And even tho she knew he was all over Kinjyou, she's starting to feel jealously at how easily she's lost from his sight as soon as Kinjyou comes in.
I don't have the translation, but it feels like she is wearing dating kind of clothes there. She is usually wearing something trendy or cool. But here she seems all prim and proper, even done her hair (though when they went on that parfait trip, she was also dressed somewhat similarly).
Either she was stood up or something came up. My guess is that she tried to go on a blind date (to try to distance her feelings for the otaku a bit more) or something and it didn't work out. She doesn't seem dishevelled so likely nothing h doujin related happened thankfully. But her face seems to be telling that she is forcing that smile quite a bit.
I might be reading too much into this, but that's part of the fun,

Huh... I didn't really get an impression of having been 'stood up' or similar. More that either she's straight up trying to dress up nicely to catch Otaku's attention... or a bit more likely to my mind that she had some sort of formal/semi-formal event to go to and couldn't dress in her usual casual manner.
Remember that when he visited she lives in "The Tower of Babel", the highest-rent apartment in town. She/her family is more than likely well off for one reason or another, which could mean having obligations to go to various events and not look 'embarrassing' or such.
Yeah, I agree more with this. This little series doesn't seem that.. dark. Most likely she's well to do and has stuffy engagements to go to with her family and her usual weirdness is her rebelling and true personality.
So her percentage is back up a point. Back to the steady climb, I guess.

It's starting to feel like one of those romcom where you desperately want the side character to win, ain't it. Like I'm not knocking out the other girls - they're pretty great and all - but Osanai has definitely been getting more attention now. Granted that might just be my bias speaking.
Ack. So, so sorry for the day late translation on this one. I completely spaced out on needing to at least set up the notes before I left for work and when I remembered at work, it was too late for me to do anything till I got home. v_v It was a really easy one today too...
Anyway, it really feels like Otaku wasn't the only one who missed spending time with their best friend(?). But yeah, my theory on what happened is basically the same as Dakkan's. Some well-to-do obligation she couldn't weasel her way out of.

I'm at the point where I keep forgetting about the other characters and focus in the one that has the most development and personality. I think Osanai is the best of the bunch and, if she has feeling towards Otaku-kun, she should win.
