Apparently Big Mama is female. She runs a bar and she knows about the game One Outs. I went through the first volume, and an actual name wasn't mentioned. But Big Mama is something the anime said.

I'll bet she's a blast to drink with as long as you don't make her mad. Look what happened to Tokuchi.
