to clean up his image, he created a touhou comic which included a drawing of his own, but, to no one's surprise, that drawing was also a plagiarism, specifically, it was a recolor of this image and less detailed.
he tried to sell the comic, but under pressure from fandom, it was distributed for free under the guise of "free sample".

one more thing, the comic book distributor closed down in April this year because it was a total failure.
