What if they draw a door or better yet, the elevator on the wall? I hope they can get her out of there. If they do, this could very well become another cloning method for them. Just draw otters on the wall and let them out. But who knows if the drawings themselves become anomalies or not, like what happened when they put foreign things in the dollhouse..

Elevator girl says that she "drew" a lot of fruits on the tree for the previous friends who got caught. So i dont see how it's not possible to not draw an elevator and let them escape.

And yes, it could be argued that they could at least try, but considering that A!Otter has that elevator panel contraption allowing them to move around at will, it's likely that most 'no way back' areas just won't affect her.

Maybe it's because if she draws it may make the situation worse due the paintings spreading to other floors.

It's also possible that elevators can't work because there would be nothing powering it.
And a door can't work because it would be just that: a door. It doesn't lead to anywhere.

From what we seen elevators are the only true 'safe zones' within the complex, as abominations can't enter them if their doors are close. Elevators themselves could be considered their own separate branch of anomalies as they can move people to completely random places. So while they're dangerous on their own right, they're not exactly deathly as long as you don't tamper with them. So i don't personally think that the anomalies can 'spread' through the elevators themselves but most likely can through stairs and doorways.

Thats correct, remembering back to the post with the giant otter in the underground landfill, the elevator shaft seen in the last panel reached up and presumably reached the ceiling aka the next floor, so while it was an endless vast space it wasn't exactly endless on the y axis as it had a up and down limit, its just the x axis and z axis that seem endless. Still, what elevator girl did gives us multiple things to go off on. 1) thoughts are preserved withing the paintings. She 'drew' fruits on the tree as a way to give food to the others stuck in the painting, the others state that although "it doesn't have much flavor to it" its edible. 2) things added seem to be taken off, most likely by the other friends as elevator girl seems to come regularly to draw more fruits on the tree. So we already know things transfer through and third 3) signals can get through. As the giant otter is seen talking to his companions through his radio, its broken but that can be easily be explained by the otters making inside the elevator and leaving him behind, most likely its possible to communicate if the sender is the same room and receiver is near the tree as its the most prominent thing seen from the room. Although perhaps the author will clear things soon.

That makes sense although to be fair my thoughts were in the mindset Trevor Henderson's combination monsters (don't know if those creatures are from a au or not)

Seeing what happened the last time they tried to "game" the anomalies (by dumping objects in the dollhouse), that painted elevator will probably open straight to the Hell Zone.

the second Anomalous Otter did teleport using the elevator's button display after she witnessed the other Anomalous Otter being annihilated, suggesting it is indeed more like a teleportation device than an elevator on rails.

The fruit was also described as rather flavorless, so it's possible anything else drawn may also lose important details in translation.
