    As stated in the artist's commentary the rifle is a Dutch Geweer M.95, which was a variant of the Mannlicher M1895 (M1985 typo in commentary), modified meet to Dutch specifications.

    The major difference between the two rifles is that the Dutch Geweer M.95 was a traditional turn handle rotating bolt, while the Mannlicher 1895 was a straight-pull bolt action.
