Sometimes I use Amber to explore and for puzzles.
But in combat, I rely on Xianling as my fire damage dealer.
By the time Baron Bunny explodes, the timing for an elemental combo is already gone. ^^;

I can't do much about gameplay, but Amber is very much a part of my "party four" in my headcanon at least. Lumine/Venti/Amber/Qiqi.

it's the fate of free characters, can't be too good or the player base won't roll and can't be too terrible that it can't pass the basic contents

Pity for us poor fools who made do with Diluc instead.

Mihoyo please buff Amber

Even though she's under used and over shadowed by the other pyro users like Xiangling and Diluc, her personality and design will always be top tier.
No matter what.

It attacks in a clockwise cross, 12, 3, 6, 9 then buggers off, which in my opinion is less useful then having a literal aggro bomb,

She’s been getting good use in 11-2. Taunts help quite a bit on that stage. Never forget your Amber.

Never forget your Amber indeed. She's been on my A-Team the entire game, from Day 1, and I refuse to ever change that. I use her on team 1 for all floors of the Spiral Abyss/Moon Spire, I used her for every Event, I used her for every Story/Archon Quest, and I will continue to do so. Am I insane? Well, yeah, probably, but you know what? She's worth it.
