When you play Pokemon Gold & Silver, an Ampharos is seen in the Lighthouse of Olivine City feeling unwell like suffering sickness so the player has to surf their way to Cianwood Town to find a special medical from a NPC medical expert in order to challenge Jasmine to a Pokemon Gym Battle.

Ampharos is Pokemon number 181 as the final form of Mareep after evolving Flaffy upon reaching level 30 and is capable of Mega Evolution gaining a Dragon typing and a big boost in its special stats but at the cost of decreasing its Speed, which may be used to its advantage but it could've been awesome if Ampharos was Electric/Dragon by default since the only Dragon-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 2 was Kingdra so it'll at least increase represenation of the Dragon-types.

Jasmine is also included because she an Ampharos nicknamed.
