When did misogyny go from "hatred of women" to "even the most mild of expression of displeasure with some women’s habits or behavior". Expressing the occasional dislike of women's behavior is not fucking misogyny. If we applied the same standards to women then anytime they say talked about how all men want is sex we should be screaming Misandry... (which is the irrational hatred of men, since 90% of people have probably never even heard that word.)
I really do hate women that whine for equality EXCEPT when people say mean things about them. At which point they quickly bust out the sex card and try to make the person saying it look prejudiced.
Hey, it's not only assholes who have mystery in 'em. It's just, the "nice guy" is, in stereotype, always just that. They're always kind, always yes-man-ly supportive, there's no humanity there. They're like a teddy bear, and there's nothing under that stuffing than more of the same.
Now, get a nice guy who can be a dork, jerk, slack, loudmouth (in whatever way), empassioned, disinterested... Have more than one facet, and you're worth getting to know. Only adhere to one type, and that's all people would need to bother learning of you.

This guy strikes me as the sort who'd actually have no problem getting pieces of ass in general. It's this particular one, that he was interested in. He's just noting that she thinks of him as a nice guy and that he knows what it means. Seems to be pretty balls-on to me.
Nice people can be manipulative and deceitful. Most serial killers are ordinary people who have been referred as nice and quiet. It's the nice people are the ones people should be wary of, people tolerate assholes because, well it's safe to assume they're just assholes.

Explain to me how he is hating women? It's a very astute observation made out of hopelessness and resignation to his fate, without malice. By the time Kircheis meets him in the OVA he's totally jaded, because of his life of unrequited love. He knows he could probably find someone else, but he only has eyes for Johanna (iirc?).
If he actually was a women hater in this situation he would be more self-entitled like "that woman is a whore for not appreciating my affection" or something along those lines.
