That seems incredibly low to me...they seem to be using relatively modern prices for certain things...and 1,000 yen will barely pay for a decent dinner. It's about ten bucks.

I'm fairly certain Gensokyo yen is not nearly as inflated in value as Outside-World yen.

Also you're assuming that Yukari is not the sort of person who'd give a miserly allowance.
