Blue evokes... images of cleaning products. Psychologically some shades of blue might also be hard-wired somewhat into 'instincts' along with black and purple as "poisonous".

This is made far worse here by the cook/baker's name being Blue Poison. So anyone who sees food made by her with blue coloring on them will start wondering about the second part of her name.

I ate colored cakes without problem, but yes, the person who made them didn't have poison in their name.

I don't have a problem with it, personally. Well, most of the time, unless it's a very odd shade of blue.

That said, I do live in a place where butterfly pea dyed desserts and rice aren't exactly uncommon.

Though even then I will balk if the cook has a name like Blue Poison. And blue meat dishes will also look plain off, regardless.
