Since misty always have been a tomboy,it fits her. And Ash has always been a girl.

Hmm... I lied about Brock.

This brings back memories of that "Ashely" episode :P He makes a cute girl.

The way Ash is drawn vaguely resembles a character portrait drawn by ZUN, though I don't know who and from what game. And Brock reminds me of Konata.
