When I was in Japan on assignment, the titular character from the quiz/variety show "Chico-chan Will Scold You!" ("Chico-chan ni Shikarareru!"/"チコちゃんに叱られる!") reminded me of Sodoko. It's probably the hairstyle and the scolding that felt familiar!
(For some reason in romaji the official materials spell her name as "Chico-chan" even though the kana "チコちゃん" would normally be written as "Chiko-chan".)
