I remember playing Helldivers with Chinese people. It was a weird experience, one of them was a teamkilling retard who killed us and then tried to do the mission himself, got killed, and ragequitted. The other told me "excuse him, he's from mainland China". That doesn't have anything to do with the picture but I felt like bringing that up.

I get the feeling it was the mainlander learned that there was a Taiwanese on the team and decided to be an asshole.
Maybe, I dunno. I don't know much about Asia's socio-political situation, so I'm not sure why Chinese would hate Thailand people.
Taiwan isn't Thailand. Regarding Taiwan v. China, I'm little surprised, for the last few years it's been one of those things you can't not hear about, even on this site. The TLDR is that Mainland China's government believes it owns Taiwan, and gets really pissed if you even hint at the idea that Taiwan is a separate entity.

Oh shit, sorry. Yeah, now that you say it, I remember a lot of humbugs happening with Vtubers getting bullied over Taiwan, or a game getting shit for calling China "West Taiwan". Sorry, I mistook Taiwan and Thailand.
