    Misspelling note:
怖い(P); 恐い 【こわい】 (adj) (1) scary; frightening; eerie; dreadful; (int) (2) (I'm) afraid
可愛い 【かわいい(P); かわゆい】 (adj) (sl) pretty; cute; lovely; charming; dear; darling; pet

Figured I'd translate since my guess is Kaorin doesn't read japanese. The mispelling on your part was "kawai", which should be "kowai" in romaji. To the English ear it can sometimes sound similar to kawaii.

Oh, and Rolo, was that taken from Jim Breen's j-dict? Best english-japanese resource on the net that I've found.
