I don't think -suyo has the same purpose as -s. I thought about just putting -suyo in there...

"-ssu yo" is Momo's verbal tic, but even if it wasn't, translating it as "-s" doesn't really make sense, considering that the change from katakana to hiragana pretty clearly marks a word break and "-ssu" is a fairly common colloquial shortening of "desu".
