    I think it's more a joke than a pairing due to the party emblem-convenient censorship; there's the Liberal-democratic party of Japan have won elections pretty consistently since around 1955, whereas the democratic party on the right just sort of pop their heads up every now and again at the elections, both facts which sort of correspond with Mokou/Letty. I might be wrong, though >_>;;
