Today's experiment is a 3D model painted to match Etna's official Disgaea D2 artwork.

Everything is painted on with no cel shading or special outlines.

The advantage is that it is simple and looks great!
The disadvantage is that if I rotate around the figure much further you will quickly see how messed up it looks.

When you try to copy someone else's art, you quickly learn just how much care and attention they put into it! I never noticed that Etna's bracelet is reflected in her glove before.

Fun fact: To ensure that Etna's eyebrows appear on top of her hair, her eyebrows and eyes are rendered in a second layer and overlaid by the compositor. Totally worth the extra effort.
