This is something I wanted to do for a long time. A pixel art drawing inspired by the japanese computer scene from the 80's and 90's, specially the NEC PC-9801 systems. I created this character and a little blink animation with some limitations in mind.
Most of you probably don't know what I'm talking about but in Japan there was a big market for EROGE or games with strong sexual themes, specially visual novels (but this also applied to other genres as well). Aside for that kind of content, the music and the art was most of the time top notch, professional illustrations done with big limitations like having small resolutions and limited color palettes, in this case only 16 colors were used and to compensate the lack of color, dithering was used extensively to create the illusion of mid tones. Is AN ART in itself to do this and those artists were incredibly talented and patient.
