Yeah was extremely funny on TV. He walks a good 6 or 8 metres past him, turns around, gathers a nice amount of momentum and then pulls out his special killer move, the "Zidaster". No italian who gets hit with this will stand up again...even if only because he's wondering why the hell a world reknowned star player just headbutted him into oblivion. *shakes head* You'd think the guy would have other methods to show he's displeased with the game.
I mean, Zidane did this and so many of you say things like "Great Zidane!" or "Because Italians are fags"...? Man, I thought Zidane was stupid, but I was wrong... there're other people here who is stupid...

I'm the one defined as "Easily Offended Italian Guy". Sorry, I'm spanish. Zidane did the wrong thing, no matter which country you leave in... I just cannot understand how people can't realize this. Even french press criticize Zidane, while I see many people praising him... I really can't understand.

comment #11979 Did you watch the game? The Italians weren't exactly very.... sportsmanlike in their dealings with him. Obviously you're not to do what he did despite that, which is why he got carded, and rightfully so. But I can understand him loosing the cool.
Plus, as others have said, it's comedy gold. How many other well-known football legends are you going to see finish their carreer off with a HEADBUTT OF DOOM? :p
Am I the only one who's slightly concerned by the hordes of french people who are voting down all comments that criticize Zidane? I mean no one here can seriously think what he did was justified... These players are pro's. They get paid ungodly amounts of cash to kick the ball, not headbutt other people. You'd think he'd be reasonable enough to refrain from stuff like this in the final game of the world cup which millions of people around the world were watching. I *could* have understood it if he snapped immediately in reaction to getting fouled, but what he did was no reflex...far from it. He deliberatley walked past his victim, turned around, lined himself up and then casually walked towards the italian player only to headbutt him from point-blank range without any warning.

Paranoid? Maybe, maybe not. Still fact that anything remotely negative about him is voted down almost instantly. You can't really say indiscriminately, since basically everyone was saying what he did was wrong. Plus, you're overreacting to the word victim. If you had read my other post you'd know that I found the entire situation highly amusing too. And yeah, getting a headbutt to the chest is less than deadly, no one said he killed him(he just tried to) :P
