The guy who drew this designed the characters in Gurren Lagann. This image was featured in the "Farewell Rakugaki Giga Drill" A book consisting of art (mostly monochrome)contributed by the Gainax staf, other artists (ig. Shirow Miwa) and even gurren voice actors. It's over hundred pages thick and was exclusive to this past Comike.
