LUCKY ☆ STAR - 10 YEARS
We never did decide which end of the choco cornet was the head, did we?
I've been trying to use the term "waifu" less lately. Not because I'm any less obsessed with anime girls, far from it, but because the term seems to have co-opted unsavory connotations that I don't think it had before... You say it now and people picture creepy sweaty guys who sleep with dakimakuras. That's something I've never done and never intend to do, and I've given VDrake specific instructions to strangle me if I ever start.
HOWEVER. I would be remiss if I didn't commemorate 10 years of the Lucky Star anime, which introduced me to Kagami Hiiragi. My first true waifu, and still first among all others. People tell me that by all rights I should like Konata more because our personalities and interests are so similar, but Kagami's always been my girl. Like, it's because I saw someone on a certain forum thread RPing her INCREDIBLY well that I joined up with the thread myself and made some dear friends whom I'm still dorking out with seven years later. The events of that RP thread inspired Stars Above, and working on Stars Above made me want to write other stuff besides Tasakeru in my spare time, and without the response to Stars Above I would never have even considered writing something as ambitious as Shattered Skies... basically, none of it would have happened if I didn't love Kagami so much. To the point of obsessiveness, possibly, but I digress.
So here's Kagami celebrating ten years of her series with the help of all my most beloved girls, past and present (save for Makoto Nanaya, Cure Fortune/Iona Hikawa, Cure Scarlet/Towa Akagi, and Cure Custard/Himari Arisugawa, who don't have figures yet). I owe a lot to my favorite snarky little tsundere. XD
