Round 05 in NT10: Kamijou Touma vs. Marian Slingeneyer. This piece was already colored by someone over the internet, and I was so thoroughly impressed with the color work on the fire which was as close to the style of the original artist that I thought to myself I could never top this one.

Anyway, I tried. Here's my rendition. I believed that it was still fairly overcast and in the middle of the afternoon when this scene took place in the original novel, so, this here is the sky covered with smoke.I also made use of the blue and orange contrast which people are quite fond of. If you look at the back there's some snow still falling.

After playing around with the colors and some texture it ended up like this. Looks like an old-timey postcard from the 40s, eh?

This is the second time I colored something related to Marian Slingeneyer, and I like to think I at least improved in coloring gold objects. Now at least it a lot less blurry.
