    Isn't the P90 a submachinegun?

I don't know. All I know is it looks like the RP90 from Goldeneye 007. I'm not a /k/ook, so when I posted, I just went with assault rifle.

I'm not a /k/ook either(and after the last couple days Justy can certainly attest to that), but it does look like a P90 to me

What the hell is with that stance. Right hand is on the trigger, but the gun is on the left shoulder.

    1. Go to /k/.
    2. Mention that the FN P90 is an assault rifle.
    3. Post this pic.
    4. Ride on the wave of massive RAGE.

P90 is actually a PDW, but yes, technically it's a bullpup SMG with a rather unique feeding / ejection system and chambered in a rare pistol cartridge.

Not rare, unique. The P90 was developed around the round and is the only weapon (yet) which uses it. The round is designed to pierce body armor and is available solely to police and military as is the full on P90. There are civilian versions available but they are not chambered for the round.

The FN five-seven uses it too.

It's not that unique, the old 7.62x25 does pretty much the same job, and it even isn't a spitzer. But 5.7x28 is definitely rare, as the Five-Seven and civilian versions of P90 are overpriced and pretty much only the hardest enthusiasts buy them. This way, there's no point in producing as huge amounts of 5.7 as of 9x19, .45, .40 etc. Therefore it's definitely a rather rare pistol cartridge.

This is exactly why I don't go to /k/. I don't particularly feel the need to understand half of what the above comments mean.

    Okay, NOW it makes sense.

Those cunts are superhuman though. The fact they can do something out of the ordinary means they shouldn't be held up as some kind of standard or example.

Well, they might seem elitist and bad-tempered, but you have to understand it's the same thing like going to /jp/ to ask "Lol guise, I've seen that Reimu bitch, what anime is she from?" or going to /a/ to ask "Hai, can it be a Simpsons time nao?"

I understand that, it's just, to me, those are harmless. Guns, on the other hand, kill people (in before "guns don't, people, etc.") Studying so much about something specifically designed to kill people is somewhat disturbing to me.

I suppose it's something of a phobia, but it's just creepy to me.

If everytime a gun was used, someone died, then you can claim it was designed to kill people. As it is, all a gun does is propel a bit of metal. Completely harmless provided you're careful.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. I own guns primarily for fun and because I like them, secondarily
for self-defense and SHTF. Bad people with dangerous tools aren't a reason to hate the tools, but rather to hate the people... though, yes, I understand how you feel.

Guns are weapons designed to kill something.
That was, is, and always will be their primary purpose.

The point of the whole "guns don't kill people, people kill people" slogan is to put responsibility for murder where it belongs - at the feet of homicidal maniacs, rather than on a bunch of inanimate objects that wouldn't fulfill the aforementioned "primary purpose" without the hands of would-be killers (and idiots) to make them work.

It doesn't mean that guns aren't devices for more efficient killing.

Hmm.....yeah, I'm definitely buying that gun before the law decides to kick in and ban it. Knives too, and ammos to stockpile. The prejudice against it is pretty amazing to me...and this is coming from a long-time New Englander with no family gun history, but whatever.
