3-Is much more well-developed (in both senses of the word...) 4-Is much more vibrant character
5-Is WAY hotter!
6-Is the ony who fights, suffers and smiles together with the Hero
7-Is way stronger, and thus, much better suited to be a Half-Dragovian's waifu
8-Is an actual (and important) part of his adventure
9-Is actually fiesty, strong-willed and upbeat..which is the perfect contrasts to the often "silent" and "submissive" hero.
10-Is MUUCH hotter!!!
Why couldn't they make her into the actual love-interest?! Or at least give you the ability to CHOOSE between them?! (like they did back n DQ5)...damn you Hori...damn you and your compulsive prefference for boring, plain-looking, submissive women that you try to rub off on everyone who plays your games!

Medea is just as much of a character as Jessica depending on how much you want to actually go back to the Mysterious Spring and talk to her. Perhaps even moreso. And, depending on your tastes, just as 'hot' as Jessica.
But most importantly, Medea and the Hero have a major plot connection due to what you learn about both characters over the course of the game. Whereas Jessica, like Angelo, mostly only has connections to her family and the place you recruit her from.
Long story short, both Jessica and Medea are hot and great characters, but there's a reason why the Hero marries Medea.
And there's a reason why I never saw the second ending where they actually get married. Two BIG reasons actually. ^_^
I would have prefered being able to pick between them. Medea's definiently a sweetheart, one would have to be a fool to be unable to appreciate her affection, but just because one can, doesn't mean you can't love and marry someone else.

In most DQ games there's no romance for the hero at all. And in DQ5 you're beat over the head with the idea that you really should marry Bianca rather than the less interesting, more submissive Flora. I'm not sure Horii has the compulsion you think he does.
