my roomates do it from time to time starting and ending phrases with the same word, so that would be a rough English equivalent. I don't think it would be easy to rig this conversation that way, though.

The closest "Equivalent" or lack of would be to put the Romanji as notes with quotations around the begining and ending of Marisa's and Reimu's sentanances. Bleh, some things just cant be translated.

Well, it looks like mobo made a valiant effort by matching the beginning and ending letters.
