I think he might be trying to place them into groups based on what they resemble the most. When he says "wolf family" he's probably grouping the anubis in the same category as the werewolf because they both have human and canine characteristics like how wolves, foxes and dogs are al canine in the real world. Hope that made any sense...
Did anyone noticed that in both Sphinx and Anubis is mentioned that they are guarding "Pharaoh". So it would seems that the next one or in close future there will be Pharaoh.

They don't exist yet I think, which is weird because a vampire is supposed to be popular and common, I could add a list as well: Gnoll, wyvern, basilisk, kraken, wraith, banshee, rakshasa, behemoth, leviathan, satyr, gog, efreet, Elementals, trent, dwarf, gnome, halfling, siren, lich, gremlin, naga (not the same as lamia), rock (bird), esquilax, human woman (for the lols), giantess, tiamat, shiva, drake, chimaera... the list goes on but i'm too bored to write the rest...
It would be great to see some native American mythology as well, like Quetzalcoatl (feathered serpent)... and some modern myths, like chupacabras, big foot, yeti and Lochness monster.

If the artist/author did modern myths, then it just wouldn't work. It wouldn't look right and it wouldn't be as fun. Ancient things nobody cares to research are the ones people love.
why did they turn women into mummys? has she hate them so much or there to become servants for the pharaoh to protect the ruins? when a man find out his women happen this and kill anubis to take revenge. is in that case the curse lifted and when not the mummys accept him as their new master? and if the intruders are lost human children will they also attack them? a group of humans to take revenge and instend to kill is more dangerous as the strongest monstergirl.

The Pharaoh would be the rulers of egypt though,wouldn't it?
That wouldn't be a monster girl,unless i'm poor on Egyption Mythology.
