The "Ko" in Koakuma means "small".

The “ko” at the end is usually written with the kanji for “child” (very common for girls’ names), whereas the “ko” elsewhere is usually written with the kanji for “small”. “Akumako” would mean “demon child” (think Flan) and “Koakuma” means “small demon”.

I mean Sakuya is of course more mature and more elegent, but it feels kinda strange for her to refer to Marisa as younger.

We don't know Sakuya's true age, so that's impossible to confirm. Don't know where ypou got the idea that marisa is older unless you mean her debuting well before Sakuya did...

As far as Sakuya's age and potential mortality is concerned it should be noted that Remilia has remarked that she can't remember how long Sakuya has been with her. This should really make everyone suspicious.

If Sakuya was indeed human or had time-stop "age build-up" she'd be at most around 15-20. A 500 year old vampire should be able to easily recall a decade or two. Sakuya is obviously much older than she looks.

Also, her immotality rejection was her making excuses to not be forcefed Mokou's guts.
