Another random game drawing, this time Maka Albarn, from the Soul Eater manga/anime franchise. Apparently it's a good show, or whatever, but from what I've read, its "demon buster school" premise does not interest me.

Also, drawing fanart like this really helps to notice the nuances in character design:

-Maka's eyes have no pupils, which are often replaced by dashed lines.

-Her face is designed rather strangely; her cheeks are much rounder than other anime females', and has a significantly upturned nose.

-She has two layers of eyebrows, with the frame of her eyes cresting over the entire eye, which usually forms a smooth oval with the iris when she is looking in another direction.

-There is not an agreed-upon length for the hem of her cloak, with some fanart making it as flowing as Batman's cape, while others barely extend it past her skirt.

-Most all of the male characters have saggy eyes, and all of the characters scowl most of the time with exaggerated frowns at weird mouth angles.

-As you can tell, I got bored and sloppy by the time I started drawing her torso and lower body, not nearly as clean as the hair and face.
