Fernando Malvezzi, Ju 87 and MC.202 pilot, 10 aerial victories, awarded for scoring a bomb hit during an attack with that helped sink the Royal Naval Town-class cruiser HMS Southamton in 1941 off Malta. A Sergente Maggiore Mazzei and Sergente Crespi (no personal names given) were also cited as Ju 87 pilots in the combat log of 236a Squadriglia, the "Picchiatello" (Stuka in Italian service) unit that Malvezzi commanded in the attack on HMS Southampton.

Graduate of a military academy for witches in Romagna. With a small degree of skill in healing magic, Fernandia was assigned to the magic medical corps, but she actually has a strong desire for a combat role. She snuck herself into a ground attack witch unit, one of the understrengh sections of the Aeronautica Romagniana (Romagnan Air Force). After studying tactics with a Karlsländer dive-bomber squadron, Fernandia, together with her best friends Luciana and Martina from the academy, flew many missions, even recording a destroyed heavy land Neuroi to their name. In recognition of the team's fame and overwhelmingly positive evalutions, all three were given the honor of being admitted into the Pantaloni Rossi (note 1).
Not long after, Fernandia's unit was equipped with MC.202 Strikers. Her experience with those enlightened her towards air combat, and ever since '44 she has been using the G-55.
Even though Fernandia can be extremely self-assured, headstrong, and impulsive, she also displays an undeniable friendliness, and she is a natural leader with the power to get others to do things her way. Within the team, she takes the role of commander and also vanguard.
Left Luciana Mazzei Born 1/10, 18 years old. Sottotenente (Sublieutenant) Familiar: Greyhound Quiet and reserved, Luciana has a gentle personality which lies at odds to her all-rounded athleticism, particularly her talent in marksmanship.
Luciana herself was interested in developing equipment and clothing specifically for Witches, but after Fernandia set her sights on Luciana's skill at shooting, she was forcefully invited into a combat unit, where she has stayed without protest.
Luciana is theorist with an inquiring mind. Her hobby is sewing. In place of her bureaucracy-illiterate leader, she performs negotiations with and writes reports for the brass, in effect taking up the post of adjutant for the team. In charge of sniping, support.
Right Martina Crespi Born 9/2, 16 years old. Sergente maggiore (Sergeant major) Familiar: Bolognese
The daughter of a wealthy family from southern Romagna. Bright and sociable, but far too perky for a lady from a prominent family, which causes no end of headaches for her parents. Her speech and behavior is almost like that of a young boy.
With training in classical ballet, she has a very flexible body and a keen sense of movement. Her favored tactic consists of extremely close range dogfighting with enemy craft. There was even an unusual case on her record in which she used her Striker to "kick out" the core from an enemy. (Note 2) A downside of this is that she can sometimes be too fixated on an enemy in front of her, losing sight of the bigger picture.
Has a somewhat love-hate relationship with Fernandia. Attached to Luciana. Specializes in hit-and-run tactics in the team.
(Note 1) The Redpants are a select unit of the best of the best, chosen from among the ranks of the Air Force, Army, and Navy. The unit is under the direct control of the Sovereign, and officially follows its own independent chain of command. The red pants of the unit are modeled on the uniform of an influential witch who was active during the unification of Romagna, and so the unit has a powerful rallying effect and is an inspiration for all Romagna. Even after being transfered to the 504th JFW, these three have continued wearing the uniform from their time with the Redpants.
(Note 2) Martina blasted her target directly with the magic energy cycling through the magic engine... according to her testimony at the time she was out of bullets and it was an act of desperation, but of course the engine was totalled, and she was severely reprimanded afterwards.
