Everybody got better in the timeskip. Whether or not it changed their attitudes is another story. Sasuke got "mildly" better in the timeskip. But hes diffenetly even more Emo now that He knows Itachi was really a good guy all along. But hey, lets not point fingers here. We all know the series will end with Sasuke proclaiming his love for Naruto in some way or form.(Just would like to point out, I really do like the Naruto series, but even a fan is allowed to make jokes on the characters)

That's true, but still. Compared to previous Sakura (where her roles in battles were mostly limited to crying, yelling out Naruto/Sasuke's names or cutting off her own hair, it was a huge improvement. She even punches stuff! Oh, and that bit when Chiyo used her as a puppet was pimp.
As for the ending: the entire theme of the story is pretty much A) Naruto isn't believed B) Naruto does something C) Naruto is believed. We got through everyone from Neji to Tsunade to Gaara to Pain, and now Sasuke's one of the few left. I just wish the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight will involve more than Naruto being pacifist and getting his ass beat.
@kemuridama - As if there's any possibility Kishi will have the Naruto x Sasuke fight be anything but and insane pewpew lasers all out brawl. If anything, he'll just be forced to write it that way - his editors are insanely powerful and he's even admitted that they've forced him to do fights before.
It's going to be the usual "Naruto kicks someone's ass and rather than having them be pissed at getting their ass kicked somehow they magically agree with him and love him" shtick. Definitely.

as they say, welcome to showbiz. I feel just as sorry for Toriyama who was forced to extend his series way past what he intended because they wanted to milk the series even more. I bet when they wanted to make GT he was like "Whateva!! do whatever you guys want!!"

Kishimoto's love for DBZ reflected in many of the naruto characters' fights. You fight, believe in something (in DBZ it is perhaps training, in Naruto it is about friendship and overcoming loneliness) and THAT gives you power to beat the life out of the enemy no matter how strong he/she is. Kishimoto or the pubhlisher or whatever, they failed big time in developing some of the characters in naruto universe. Itachi came out to have a decent story, but others...sigh...
