2. What's with Ruby's hair?

The only thing that bothers me is Ruby's white hair. It's been established as a white hat long ago.

I think its a picture of characters that chose a starter. Though I think Crystal had a starter. But yeah, Wally always struck me as the one who worked hardest out of all the rivals. Miss him and Gardevoir.

What bothers me the most is that if Lucas has Chimchar, Pearl ought to be the one with Piplup.

Pretty sure Brendan's "hair" is only a hat in Pokemon Special. If it's a hat in the games, it's a pretty weird one, especially given that he's also wearing a headband.

There isn't really anything to support it being a hat in the games. His sideburns in his Emerald art is the only exception, and even that's pretty weak.

Either interpretation is valid. I prefer this one personally, since it'd be about the stupidest hat I've ever seen otherwise, and all the other Pokemon player characters wear real-world headgear.

Even if their stuff is real-world, that doesn't exclude them from stupid design. *points at Kotone*

Poor Treecko doesn´t have a trainer! And as far as it goes there´s no "Emerald", it was just May and Brendan in new (at least the colors) outfits. That´s unfair X|.

Brendan's hair was always black.

I consider it better then if we were to start naming them after derived colors. Violet, Brown, Pink may seem normal, but then it'll get ridiculous if we started calling them:Indigo,Sky blue, White,Black.

your forgetting the black part under his hat in his battle sprites

plus he could have short hair like in the manga so it doesnt fill the hat

Gardevoir can be either male or female.
