This IS true, Hippos are dangerous animals. They kill quite a number of people every year.

IIRC, they're the most dangerous large animal in Africa. They have a temper, and they only look slow.

Froggys choice for helm is really bad against those pure-muscle murder tanks.

They're always hungry, that's why.

Heard they are more feared than both crocodiles and elephants.

Even then, I find it strangely satisfying to see how they crush watermelons and pumpkins as if it was popcorn.

They're also cute, unlike bears who look like giant wolverines or mutated honey badgers, so you expect them to be nice and chill, like capybaras, but then BAM! They bite you. And these jaws, I saw videos, they crush that pumpkin like it's a smartie. Hippos are basically nightmare pigs, they live to make your life short, scary and miserable.

Well, I've been looking for a pet for a while, so thanks for the idea.

This arc with the zookeepers is making me feel something akin to sonder. Yeah, the nuns we're following are quirky and fun to watch, but apparently everyone in this world is and we could have ended up with a comic about zookeepers instead.
