Oh man, discussing the gender of a drawing of two girls. I doubt the people that find Nami attractive are fapping over male Nami, and thus the people that find Luffyko/Naruko attractive aren't going to be fapping over Luffy/Naruto - unless they're bisexual but then that's a whole different thing.
From an in-universe perspective, they're both the same deal; Naruto magically transforms into a girl and Luffy is turned into a girl by Ivankov's hormone altering ability.
In the story, Naruto transforms into a girl by using his ninja powers.
In Oda's drawing, the fan asked him to make a drawing of the crew genderswapped by Iva-san's (another character)powers.
They both are completely transformed into women either by their own, or someone else's powers....I fail to see the difference, or why one would be considered a trap and the other don't. Neither of them are traps becaues in those forms they're 100% biologically female.

We dont know how Naruto's sexy no justu even works. What we do know its a derived technique from the Henge(change)no justu. Which is intself an illusion. You see countless males in the series tranforming themselves into girls for disguise. No where does it ever say that the Henge no justu completely changes ones own body biology.
Right because doujins = official right? Look, i'm not saying doujins are bad or anything. but Doujins are about as truthful as Negima doujins of the girls having G cup sizes. My point was that Oda drew a true genderswap of the one piece crew while Kishimoto has never told us that Henge no justu actually changes one body type. The only thing Kishimoto has told us is that Henge no justu's are illusion spells.
@Tetsamaru: Can you think of any event in Naruto where something happened with Naruko that would mean it can't be an illusion? Like someone who can see through illusions (if that ability exists) still seeing Naruko? Or even something coming in contact with a part of Naruko that wouldn't exist on Naruto (like her twintails hitting something)?
You misunderstand. Kishimoto specifically told us that Henge no justu is along the same lines as Genjustu(illusion) spells but the 2 are also still different. Those who can see through illusions cant see through Henge no justus. I guess you can blame it on Kishi's lack of detail on the subject. He told us that they are along the same power of "illusion" but a simple "Kai" will not force someone out of a Henge. You actually gotta force them out of a Henge.
It wasn't a misunderstanding, I was asking a simple question. I haven't watched Naruto since the Zabuza arc apart from a few episodes in the Chuunin exam part. I was just trying to find out from someone who actually watches/reads Naruto if there's any implication that it's more than an illusion (i.e. that an actual physical change takes place).
ah, i finally figured out what i was trying to say. Kishi pretty much said in an a fact book that Henge no justu was along the lines of "putting on a costume". He never once told us that it changes someones body. However, one thing to think about is that during a filler episode, there was a certain group of ninjas that actually did "change" their bodies to fool the ninja dogs into finding them out. So it may be possible, but it would be a different move altogether.

The Henge is not an illusion. It physically transforms the body. If it didn't, then please explain why did Gama Bunta specificalyl asked Naruto to use a combined Henge with him so he could transform into something with "claws and fangs" in order to grab Gaara. An "illusion" of claws and fangs wouldn't be able to do that. The same applies to the Kiba+Akamaru combo when they become a giant 2-headed wolf to use a greater version of their Tsuga. Its a full "physical" transformation, not an "illusion".
And do not forget that naruto used henge to transform in a Giant shuriken once, and sasuke threw him. If it was an illusion, I don't see how he could do that. Maybe the justsu has different level, depending how much chakra you put in it.
why is there a debate over if the characters are female biologically? Point blank, It's a good pic and considering it's a pic, it's neither a trap nor should there be a debate IMO. Just enjoy the artwork for what it is: ARTWORK.
